Logitech G29 vs G923: Which Racing Wheel Should You Buy in India? (2026)
The G923 costs ₹13,000 more than the G29. Is TRUEFORCE worth it? We break down every difference — FFB, pedals, compatibility, and which games actually use it.
Logitech G29 vs G923 — Quick Answer
If you're reading this, you've already decided you want a Logitech wheel. The question is whether the ₹13,000 difference between the G29 (₹31,900) and the G923 (₹44,900) is worth it for your specific situation.
Buy the G29 (₹31,900) if:
- This is your first sim racing wheel
- You play games that don't support TRUEFORCE (most titles don't)
- You primarily play casual racing titles and are not yet invested in competitive sim racing
- Budget is a constraint and ₹13,000 matters to you
Buy the G923 (₹44,900) if:
- You play Gran Turismo 7, Assetto Corsa Competizione, F1 25, or Dirt Rally 2.0 regularly
- You've used a G29 before and want a genuine upgrade
- Progressive braking matters to you (it does for heel-toe technique and trail braking)
- You're building a proper sim rig and want a wheel that won't feel like the weakest link
Both are available from NVSX with genuine Logitech India warranty. See the G29 → · See the G923 →
What TRUEFORCE Actually Means
This is the core question in the G29 vs G923 debate. Let's explain it plainly, without the marketing language.
Standard force feedback (G29): The game sends wheel-rotation and resistance signals to the motor. The motor pushes back. What you feel is the game's interpretation of road forces — how hard to turn, when to resist.
TRUEFORCE (G923): The wheel reads two data streams simultaneously — the game's physics engine and the game's audio engine. The result is a higher-resolution force feedback signal that carries texture information the physics engine alone doesn't capture: kerb impact vibration, tyre slip texture as you approach the limit, gravel underfoot as you run wide, road surface changes through different corners.
The practical difference:
- Kerb feedback: On a G29 you feel resistance when you hit a kerb. On a G923 with TRUEFORCE, you feel the kerb's shape — the bump, the bounce, the texture.
- Tyre slip: On a G29, oversteer arrives as a sudden lightening of the wheel. On a G923, you feel the tyres working before they break — a progressive vibration that tells you exactly how close you are to the limit.
- Gravel and grass: Meaningfully different on TRUEFORCE vs standard FFB. This matters for rally titles.
The caveat: TRUEFORCE only works in games that explicitly support it. As of 2026, that list includes Gran Turismo 7, Assetto Corsa Competizione, F1 series, and Dirt Rally 2.0. If your primary game is not on that list, TRUEFORCE doesn't activate and the G923 behaves like any other wheel with standard FFB.

G29 vs G923 Price in India (2026)
- G29: ₹31,900 from NVSX (authorized)
- G923: ₹44,900 from NVSX (authorized)
- Difference: ₹13,000
You'll see both listed on Amazon and Flipkart at lower prices. These are almost always grey market — imported without going through official Indian distributor channels. Grey market units do not have Logitech India warranty. When something goes wrong (and with a mechanical device that spins at force and takes repeated kerb impacts, things do go wrong eventually), you cannot claim at Logitech's Indian service network.
NVSX is an authorized Logitech dealer in Pune. The price we quote includes genuine 2-year Logitech India warranty. That warranty has real value — especially at ₹44,900.
Compatibility — PS5, PS4, PC
Both wheels work on PS5, PS4, PC, and Mac.
The G20 confusion: Logitech sells the G920 for Xbox (USB + Xbox button layout). Neither the G29 nor G923 work on Xbox. If you need an Xbox-compatible wheel, that's a different product.
TRUEFORCE on PS5 specifically: Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 fully supports TRUEFORCE on the G923. F1 25 on PS5 also supports it. If Gran Turismo 7 is your game, the G923 upgrade pays off on PS5 in a way that's genuinely noticeable in lap times and feel.
Which Games Benefit From the G923 Upgrade?
TRUEFORCE support as of 2026:
Gran Turismo 7 (PS5, PS4): Full TRUEFORCE support. The difference is most apparent at the limit — tyre slip feedback is markedly better than standard FFB. If GT7 is your primary game, the G923 is worth it.
Assetto Corsa Competizione (PC): Full TRUEFORCE support. ACC is already one of the most precise FFB implementations in sim racing. TRUEFORCE adds texture that ACC's physics engine is already generating but standard FFB can't transmit.
F1 25 (PS5, PC): Full support. Kerb vibrations and surface changes are more detailed. The progressive brake pedal also helps with the trail braking F1 cars demand.
Dirt Rally 2.0 (PC): Full support. The gravel and grass texture difference is the most dramatic in any game — this is where you feel TRUEFORCE most clearly.
iRacing, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2: These use their own FFB systems. TRUEFORCE doesn't activate. G923 behaves identically to G29 on these titles.
Gran Turismo Sport, Project CARS, Forza: No TRUEFORCE support. Same FFB as G29.
The G29 Is Not a Budget Compromise
There's a narrative in sim racing communities that the G29 is the "entry level" wheel you graduate away from. That framing undersells it.
The G29's dual-motor force feedback is strong and direct. It handles 900° of rotation accurately, has a solid clutch pedal, and has been the weapon of choice for club-level sim racers since its release. Thousands of competitive ACC and GT7 players run G29s at ranked levels where they're matching lap times with wheel owners who spent four times as much.
The G29 is not the wheel you buy when you can't afford a real wheel. It is a proper sim racing wheel that happens to have a more accessible price.
Where it shows its age: sustained load in long stints can make the motor perceptibly warmer and the FFB slightly softer, which higher-tier direct-drive wheels don't do. But in normal play sessions, this is not a practical concern.
Our Verdict — What We Tell Customers at the Workshop
At NVSX, we've sold both wheels to hundreds of customers and had the follow-up conversations. Here's our honest take:
First wheel, any budget: Buy the G29. You will learn on it. The FFB is real, the pedal set is complete, and it will not hold you back at any level you're likely to reach in your first year. Spend the ₹13,000 difference on a proper wheel stand or half a racing game library.
Upgrading from G29: Buy the G923 only if you've been playing GT7 or ACC seriously. If you're playing casual titles or titles without TRUEFORCE support, the upgrade is largely academic — you won't feel the difference in actual gameplay.
First wheel, GT7 is your game: Buy the G923. Gran Turismo 7's TRUEFORCE implementation is good enough that you'll notice the difference from your first hour, and GT7 is a game you'll play for years.
First wheel, PC sim racing: Buy the G29, get comfortable with the platform, then decide on a direct-drive upgrade at a later point. The G923's TRUEFORCE is genuinely better than G29 FFB on ACC and Dirt, but the jump from G923 to entry-level direct-drive (Moza R5, Fanatec CSL DD) is larger than the G29 to G923 jump.
